Christmas evokes the feeling of hope because when Jesus was born, when God became incarnate, a light of hope dawned in the world. You would be correct in saying that hope was born at Christmas. Jesus came into our world because we cannot survive without hope. Life is meaningless and tragic and a slog of despair wthout hope. In the next few minutes I want to help you understand hope by examining hope within its contexts and then draw some conclusions.
