THE LAST BEFORE THE REST | Good Friday Service

Good Friday was a day of lasts: last command, last supper, last prayer, last words, last breath. In fact, Jesus’ last saying from the cross was, “It is finished!” The last day of the Old Testament was over.

While Good Friday was the last day of Jesus’ life, Easter Sunday is the first day of the rest of our lives. Jesus’ resurrection began the rest of the story. It’s why we can rest from working to be good enough for God. Because of His death and resurrection, your story has a rest instead of a last.

Join us on Good Friday to remember the last, and on Easter Sunday to celebrate the rest.
