Any list of human psychological needs will include the need for certainty. In fact, some social commentators would rank certainty as one of the foundational, if not most essential, of human needs.
Uncertainty is making us doubt our security, fear for our safety, forget our hope, think depressing thoughts, challenge long held convictions and even question the existence of a good God.
But let me remind you, God doesn’t want you to live in overwhelming uncertainty. God wants you to swim in certainty.
