It affects every father or mother who has ever encouraged or paid for a daughter’s abortion. It affects any man who has ever pressured a woman that he has impregnated to end the life in her womb. It affects every pastor and every church who has avoided or been silent on this difficult issue because of its complexity and explicitly. It affects every person who has ever voted for or affirmed a women’s sovereign right to choose her life over the unheard, and unrepresented life in a mother’s womb. But we want to express my concern and our love for those who are here this morning, or those watching or listening by video stream, who have experienced personally the pain of abortion. We are not here to judge you. We are here to extend to you God’s love, God’s grace, God’s forgiveness and God’s healing. Thank you for your courage to listen to this message. An Open Door October 21, 2018 - Pastor Barry Clair - An Open Door In this two week mini-series, we are ramping up to Global Impact Sunday, which happens next week. I have never prayed so hard for a Global or Missions event in my whole ministry. ...I think now is the most crucial time for us as Americans to be involved in what God's doing globally. I'll tell you why. For decades, I believe with all my heart that God raised up the United States of America and put His financial blessing on this country so that we could fund His global message of the Gospel around the world. I also believe at the point we drop the ball and we fumble it, that's when God is going to say, "Okay, if the United States of America is not going to continue to fund my missionary endeavors around the world, then why shouldn't I bring judgement on the Earth right now?" So, that's our responsibility. This is an important time; it's a pivotal time; it's a defining moment in the history of the Church in America. God's Wrath in Context October 14, 2018 - Pastor Barry Clair - God's Wrath in Context Today, I begin a two-week series intended to ramp us up to Global Impact Sunday. I am often asked this question: If sin makes God angry, then why has He not destroyed all the evil sinners in the world? Why does He not bring the hammer down? Why does He tolerate sin and sinful people? What is He going to do about it? This is going to sound weird given we are ramping up to Global Impact Sunday with our strong emphasis on missions, but today, I'd like to talk about the wrath of God. What is it? When is it coming? Who is it coming for? And how can we stop or delay it? Just how mad is God at sin and sinfulness? Video Audio Your web browser is not able to read this audio file. Life Worthy of the Gospel October 7, 2018 - Pastor Barry Clair shares the message "Life Worthy of the Gospel" This last week and a half, I was able to spend some vacation time at my 3rd favorite place in the world - Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. I've spent time in Gettysburg for the last 20 years, 20 years in a row. I try to focus in that time on hearing God's voice and making plans on changes in my own life, to be a better disciple of Jesus, a better husband to my wife, a better father and grandfather, and a better Pastor to you all. Usually during that time, God gives me a message for the Sunday I return. This time, however, He didn't. Friday morning...I'm still a little concerned kind of in the back of my mind because Friday and Saturday [are] my study days and I was concerned because usually I'm well into prep by then. As I was reading the Friday, October 5th New Testament passage for the day, suddenly the Scripture text for my message today leapt off the page. I instantly knew what the Lord wanted me to talk about this morning. Video Audio Your web browser is not able to read this audio file. Please update your browser to its most recent version. JOY, Part 1 December 23, 2018 - Pastor Barry Clair presents part 1 of the message "JOY". Today I'm going to begin a two-part message. I'm going to being the first part today and finish it up real quick tomorrow evening. Let me begin by asking you a question. When I say the words 'Christmas' and 'Jesus', what words come to mind? If we really think about it, there are often at least four words that are most always associated with 'Jesus' at 'Christmas'. They are Love, Peace, Hope, and of course Joy. And I would submit that the number one word associated with Jesus at Christmas is Joy. In fact, JOY is a cultural icon of Christmas. Video Audio Your web browser is not able to read this audio file. There is a great song that, at the risk of being overplayed, has entered into Christmas Carol status. The song is called Mary Did You Know? ...you'll hear it a bunch this season, but it includes some lyrics that are very ponderable. For instance: "Mary did you know... This child that you've delivered, will soon deliver you? When you kiss your little baby, you kiss the face of God? That sleeping child you're holding is the great I Am? WOW! Well lately, I began to ask the question, What DID Mary know? That's what I'd like to try to answer this morning... Video Audio Your web browser is not able to read this audio file.
