An Open Door

October 21, 2018 - Pastor Barry Clair - An Open Door

In this two week mini-series, we are ramping up to Global Impact Sunday, which happens next week.

I have never prayed so hard for a Global or Missions event in my whole ministry.  ...I think now is the most crucial time for us as Americans to be
involved in what God's doing globally.  I'll tell you why.  For decades, I believe with all my heart that God raised up the United States of America
and put His financial blessing on this country so that we could fund His global message of the Gospel around the world.  I also believe at the point we
drop the ball and we fumble it, that's when God is going to say, "Okay, if the United States of America is not going to continue to fund my missionary endeavors
around the world, then why shouldn't I bring judgement on the Earth right now?"

So, that's our responsibility.  This is an important time; it's a pivotal time; it's a defining moment in the history of the Church in America.

God's Wrath in Context

October 14, 2018 - Pastor Barry Clair - God's Wrath in Context

Today, I begin a two-week series intended to ramp us up to Global Impact Sunday.

I am often asked this question: If sin makes God angry, then why has He not destroyed all the evil sinners in the world?  Why does He not bring the hammer down?  Why does He tolerate sin and sinful people?  What is He going to do about it?

This is going to sound weird given we are ramping up to Global Impact Sunday with our strong emphasis on missions, but today, I'd like to talk about the wrath of God.  What is it?  When is it coming?  Who is it coming for?  And how can we stop or delay it?  Just how mad is God at sin and sinfulness?

Life Worthy of the Gospel

October 7, 2018 - Pastor Barry Clair shares the message "Life Worthy of the Gospel"

This last week and a half, I was able to spend some vacation time at my 3rd favorite place in the world - Gettysburg, Pennsylvania.  I've spent time in Gettysburg for the last 20 years, 20 years in a row.  I try to focus in that time on hearing God's voice and making plans on changes in my own life, to be a better disciple of Jesus, a better husband to my wife, a better father and grandfather, and a better Pastor to you all.

Usually during that time, God gives me a message for the Sunday I return.  This time, however, He didn't.  Friday morning...I'm still a little concerned kind of in the back of my mind because Friday and Saturday [are] my study days and I was concerned because usually I'm well into prep by then.

As I was reading the Friday, October 5th New Testament passage for the day, suddenly the Scripture text for my message today leapt off the page.  I instantly knew what the Lord wanted me to talk about this morning.
